Day 2 Tillamook to Lincoln, 61 miles and 3850 feet of climbing.  Well....I won the bet, day 2 was WONDERFUL too!  There really isn't much else to say about today.  For the 2nd day in a row my face hurts from smiling so much.  I am feeling like one of the luckiest people in the world.  The views were incredible, the weather was perfect, I was able to get a double Espresso shortly after leaving the motel and I ate a bowl of clam chowder that was to die for.  Life is very, very good!  Tomorrow is billed as being even better and there is a good chance we will get to see some Sea Lions.  I can't wait for tomorrow to get here!!

After a long climb you always get to go down on this ride.

After stopping here it was tempting to just stay!

This pic does not do justice to this view!!

This view was payment for the 3 mile climb it took to get here.

Wow!

Wowzer!!

All along the coast there are views like this.

The coast line reminds me a lot of the north shore of Lake Superior.

After arriving at the motel I walked down to the beach and watched the tide come in.  Nothing is as magical as the tides.

The fog bank stayed off shore and casts some unique qualities to the "seascape".

I saw these and thought of Elizabeth (oh, and Jared too).

  2. It was a good day here too. The views were not as spectacular on my road trip from Essexville to Standish for Jack's soccer game but the game was a memorable one. We won 7-1 and only had to sit in the rain for the last 15 minutes. Jack got to play about 60 of the 80 minute game.
